What You Can Check
Acrolinx for XMetaL supports DITA and XML document formats. This includes the DITA document types: concept, reference, task, topic, troubleshooting, gloss entry, and gloss group. You can check your content in Normal and Tags On views.
Acrolinx for XMetaL also supports DITA maps. When you check a DITA map, you get a lighter version of the Sidebar. The cards give you all the information you need to correct your content. But Acrolinx doesn't highlight issues in the text and doesn't replace issues for you. You can edit each issue directly in the text. All other Sidebar features work as you're used to.
Acrolinx for XMetaL Author can check the following filetypes:
|XML||*.xml *.dita, *.ditamap|
What Acrolinx Includes in Your Check
If you turn on Track Changes, Acrolinx highlights issues in tracked changes. But Acrolinx ignores content that's tracked for deletion.
Although Acrolinx can read content from variables in your documents, this information can't be edited by design. So, although you can see issues for variables, you can't act on them via the Sidebar. Cards for variables become grayed out when you click on them.
Sometimes, Acrolinx will highlight an issue that contains multiple tag types. Acrolinx doesn't support mixed tag text like this. Cards where the highlighted text contains multiple tag types become grayed out when you click on them.
