Get Started With Acrolinx for Office Online

Where's My Sidebar?

Acrolinx is available as soon as you open a document, but you'll need to show the Sidebar before you can start checking.

To show or hide the Sidebar, click the Acrolinx icon  in the REVIEW ribbon in the Menu.

If you can't see Acrolinx icon and you're sure that your Office Online admin has installed it, follow these steps:

  1. Click Office Add-ins in the INSERT ribbon.
  2. Click ADMIN MANAGED
  3. Select Acrolinx for Office Online
  4. Click Add


Sign in to Acrolinx

When you open the Sidebar for the first time, you'll land on a start page where Acrolinx asks you for connection details. The Acrolinx Core Platform does the heavy lifting when it comes to analyzing your content, so you'll need to connect to one before you start checking. Your Acrolinx administrator should’ve given you your Acrolinx URL and sign-in details.

  1. Enter your Acrolinx URL and click CONNECT.

  2. Click SIGN IN to open the Acrolinx sign-in page. A browser window opens where you can enter your sign-in details and confirm the request to access your account.

Change Your Acrolinx URL

To change your Acrolinx URL, you need to sign out and sign in again. Sign out from the slide-out menu in the Sidebar.


Change the Interface Language

The interface language of the Sidebar appears in either English, German, French, Swedish, or Japanese depending on your Office Online settings. To change the language in the Sidebar, you need to change the language in your Office Online account.
