Get Started With Acrolinx for Mac

Where's My Sidebar?

If you've installed Acrolinx correctly, you should see the Acrolinx icon  in your menu bar. You might not see it straight away if your menu bar is already crowded. You might want to reorganize your menu bar so that you can easily get to the Acrolinx status menu.

To show the Sidebar:

  1. Open either Word, PowerPoint, Sketch, or Outlook.
  2. Select  in the top menu.
  3. Select Show Sidebar.

When you first open the Sidebar in an application, you might see some panels asking you for certain permissions. You need to accept these permissions for Acrolinx to work. The panels will pop up for Word, PowerPoint, Sketch, and Outlook separately.

Sign in to Acrolinx

When you open the Sidebar for the first time, you'll land on a start page where Acrolinx asks you for connection details. The Acrolinx Core Platform does the heavy lifting when it comes to analyzing your content, so you'll need to connect to one before you start checking. Your Acrolinx administrator should’ve given you your Acrolinx URL and sign-in details.
  1. Enter your Acrolinx URL and click CONNECT.

  2. Click SIGN IN to open the Acrolinx sign-in page. A browser window opens where you can enter your sign-in details and confirm the request to access your account.

And you're in! Hello Sidebar!

Change Your Acrolinx URL
