Depending on your system environment, there are several ways to install, update, and uninstall the Desktop Checker. For example, you can use a package manager if you have one installed, or you can use the command line.
Install the .deb package from the command-line terminal with:
On Ubuntu, you can double-click the Debian package (.deb) file and follow the on-screen instructions.
To update, you first need to uninstall the previous version of the Desktop Checker. Then simply follow the installation procedure for the new version as described above.
To uninstall the Desktop Checker use:
On Ubuntu, if you have a software management program installed, you can also use this to uninstall the Desktop Checker.
