Acrolinx Desktop Checker - Supported Content

Use the Acrolinx Desktop Checker to quickly and easily check content from different sources. Open a file from your computer or copy and paste text into the Acrolinx editor area. You can also use the command line options to build a lightweight Acrolinx solution into your content workflow.

What You Can Check

The Acrolinx Desktop Checker checks all file types that your Acrolinx Platform supports. To see a full list of supported file and input types, read about Supported Input Types in the Core Platform documentation.

You can use the version picker to view the supported input types for your specific version of Acrolinx.

Your Acrolinx administrator can also extend the file extensions that Acrolinx can recognize. See the article How to Configure Acrolinx to Recognize Your File Type to learn more.

The Desktop Checker includes an Acrolinx text editor with an integrated Sidebar. To check new content, you can either open a file from the text editor or paste the text directly into the text field. You can also run the Desktop Checker from the command line. This gives you the option to build a lightweight Acrolinx solution into your content workflow.
